Really Helpful - Bipolar Kids Review

Around a million children in the United States are diagnosed bipolar.  Often they will have had previous misdiagnosis.  Can you imagine?  Being a kid and having these confusing and uncontrollable modd swings.  Being labelled a "bad kid" by your friends and teachers.  Being punished and made to feel like you are doing something wrong.  when actually, the whole time, you had an untreated mental health condition.  Often the next step is to go straight into medication and that can make things even worse.  Not only is this sitution desperately sad for the kids, the parents are eft bewildered too.

Answers might be hard to come by and friends might not have much experience or advice to share.  That's why reading 'Bipolar Kids' by psychiatrist Rosalie Greenberg offers parents and professionals ways of supporting, understanding and enabling young people with bipolar disorder.

The text itself uses stories from families and is very practical in its advice.

A very thourough and considered book this text will help a lot of people and at the very least is a reminder that you are your child are not alone.
